LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The third of three $1 million Powerball tickets sold in Kentucky during the run-up to Jan. 13's record $1.6 billion drawing has been presented to Kentucky Lottery officials.
The player, who wished to remain anonymous, presented the ticket on Wednesday. It was sold at Double Kwik #2 on West Ky Hwy 80 in Hazard, KY.
Each of the three $1 million second prize tickets matched all five white ball numbers but not the Powerball.
The other two prizes were claimed by Linda Windey from a ticket sold at Cincinnati South Travel Center in Walton, KY and by a group of 11 Paducah Head Start teachers and employees. They bought their ticket from Smoke Shop #2 in Paducah.
