Robbery suspect considered to be armed, dangerous

FLOYD COUNTY, IN (WAVE) – Police are searching for a man who is considered to be armed and dangerous in connection to a bank robbery.

The robbery was reported at a bank on Williamsburg Station Road around 12:05 p.m. Wednesday, according to Floyd County Sheriff Frank Loop.

During the robbery, Loop said Eric Moots displayed a handgun and demanded money from the teller.

No injuries were reported. By the time officers arrived Moots had fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Moots is described as being in his 20s with a star tattoo on his neck. Authorities believe he is driving a blue Chevy Cobalt.
