Robbery suspect admits to more holdups

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Louisville Metro police say a man being held for three armed robberies has been charged with committing two more after admitting to committing the crimes.

Brian Ernest Jones, 29, has been in custody at Louisville Metro Corrections since January 13.

After being advised of his rights, Louisville Metro police say Jones gave them a statement admitting to committing the armed robberies of a Speedway store at 6821 Southside Drive and a Circle K at 4701 S. 3rd Street. Those holdups happened during the early morning hours of January 10.

Jones will be arraigned February 6 on the two new robberies. His bond on those charges has been set at $25,000 cash. He was being held on $20,000 cash bond for the other three robbery cases.
