LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Family and friends of the teen who died in a Hardin County juvenile detention center will have to wait several more months for more information about her death.

Gynnya McMillen was found dead in a cell at Lincoln Village Juvenile Detention Center in Elizabethtown on Jan. 10. An employee at the center who called 911 described McMillen's body as cold and unresponsive.

Investigators have been unable to determine a cause of death in the case.

The Kentucky Medical Examiner's office is now working with the Mayo Clinic to have genetic testing done on tissue from McMillen's body. Those results are expected to take about 12 weeks.
