Police: Suspects robbed person to get athletic shoes

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Louisville Metro police have charged two people with a robbery that happened in Valley Station.

Benjamin Dewayne Ralston, 18, and a juvenile were arrested February 16.

An arrest report for Ralston says he held the victim down while the juvenile took the victim's Air Jordan shoes, valued at $140. After getting the shoes Ralston and juvenile ran into Valley High School.

The victim was able to identify both of his attackers to the school resource officer who interviewed them separately. The report says the juvenile admitted to taking the shoes and hiding them in a classroom.

Ralston was arraigned this morning. Bond was set at $500 and his next court date set for February 26.
