LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - With fifth graders mentoring the first graders, Friday was a performance of Indonesean shadow puppets and music at Lincoln Elementary Performing Arts School.

The students created the puppets, wrote the music and played the instruments under the direction of a visiting artist.

"There are a lot of lessons here, from geography to math in the music and maybe more importantly the social aspect of trying to make a project all as a group," Artist in Residence Gregory Acker said.
