2 arrested in car thefts, store robbery

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Two people are facing charges for allegedly stealing vehicles from an auto sales lot, then robbing a Best Buy store the next day.

Police were called to Best Buy on Outer Loop on Friday when employees saw a man with gun in his waste band conceal and take items from the store. One of the employees saw the man handling the gun while he was in the store and heard it make a clicking sound.

The suspect got into a car with a woman in the parking lot. The car was then seen parking at the nearby Tumbleweed restaurant.

Police approached the car and arrested James Armstrong, 39, and Brandice Wright, 38.

During questioning, Armstrong admitted to stealing four cars from Jamal Auto Sales on Thursday. Armstrong told police Brandice was with him during the theft.

James Armstrong is charged with robbery, burglary, carrying a concealed deadly weapon and auto theft. He also has several other charges listed in the Louisville Metro Detention Center. Brandice Wright is charged with robbery, burglary and auto theft.
