SCOTTSVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A member of a rock band from Bowling Green was killed in a shooting in Allen County on Tuesday.

Scottsville police responded to a shooting in the 400 block of Orange Street just before 7:30 p.m.

They found Ernest Matt Davis, 30, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville where he died a few hours later.

Davis' brother-in-law, Kalob Carter, 25, was arrested and charged with manslaughter. Investigators believe the two men got into an altercation that led to the shooting.

Matt Davis was a bass player in a rock band called Despite The Fallen. Fans have been leaving their condolences on the band's Facebook page.

A post was made to the page on Wednesday saying the band will continue playing together. They have a show scheduled in Bowling Green on March 4 and in Louisville on March 5.
