LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Alone. Unclothed. She was left in an alley.
Homicide detectives are investigating the a body found in an alley in the area of S. 31st Street and River Park Drive.
Police said the victim is a 20-to-30-year-old woman whose body was unclothed. They are unsure how she died, saying the body shows no obvious signs of trauma. Investigators have labeled this a death investigation.

A passerby found the body just after 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. Police believe the body had been there for at least a few hours. It was not in a hidden area. Police said they body was out in the open.
"That is somebody's daughter, that's somebody's auntie, that's somebody's something," a woman who lives nearby said. "That's part of our youth that's over there. You know, we're on the spot. We want answers. We want to see what's going on."
Police don't know exactly what killed her yet. At first the signs weren't obvious.
"We'll wait for an autopsy to know more," LMPD Spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said.
It was someone walking by that called police.
They believe she'd been laying there for at least several hours.
A man who lives nearby knows the area can be rough. He's now joined the Urban League to try to do something about it.
"This, this is a terrible situation because sometimes you wonder why would somebody be coming through an area that's not even protective for them," Curtis Hobbs said.
If detectives know her name, they haven't released it. They won't know if she was on drugs until a toxicology report is done.
