LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Louisville Metro police have arrested a man in connection with a March 28 homicide.

Demarcus Lashawn Briggs, 20, of Louisville is charged with murder, wanton endangerment and tampering with evidence.

The murder happened in the 2300 block of Allston Avenue just before 4 p.m. Police say Briggs and the victim, Brennan Hayes, 25, when Briggs pulled two handguns and shot Hayes once. After the shooting Briggs fled from the scene and took the guns with him.

Wanton endangerment charges were filed because police said the the actions of Briggs put others nearby in danger.

Metro police said the weapons have not been recovered.
