LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A festival honoring Louisville native Hunter S. Thompson will take place for its sixth year in 2016.

GonzoFest takes over the Big Four Lawn at Waterfront Park on Saturday, April 16.

Featuring numerous local bands, spoken word, and art, the festival pays tribute to the eccentric author who left his mark on history through Gonzo Journalism.

The event runs from 1 to 11 p.m. Tickets are $20.
