LOUISVILLE, KY - A man was arrested Wednesday after he and another defendant allegedly stole $10,000 worth of jewelry from a Meijer store in Jefferson County.
Christopher Patrick Sullivan, 50, and an unidentified accomplice were captured on surveillance video at the Meijer on Dixie Highway on March 22. They walked back to the jewelry counter, where they they were out of surveillance range, according to the arrest report.
The unnamed co-defendant returned to the front of the store, made a purchase and went out to the pair's vehicle. During that time, Sullivan went behind the jewelry counter, forced it open and stole the jewelry inside, the arrest report said.
Sullivan hid the valuable items, returned to the vehicle and the duo left the scene, police said.
Witnesses told investigators they recognized Sullivan's partner from the video surveillance, which led officials to Sullivan.
He now faces one count of theft by unlawful taking.
