LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Two people were injured - one of them critically - in a serious single-vehicle crash on the Watterson Expressway (Interstate 264) just after midnight on Friday.

Police said a car was traveling east on the Watterson when the driver lost control near Poplar Level Road, crossed all lanes of eastbound traffic, hit the right shoulder and flipped onto its roof.

Both the driver and passenger were rushed to University of Louisville Hospital. The passenger suffered life-threatening injuries, police said.
