LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A husband and wife are facing charges for allegedly breaking into jewelry cases at a Kohl's store.
Jason Barton, 30, and Whitney Brown, 23, were arrested at the store on Tuesday.
A loss protection employee saw the two prying jewelry cases open with a knife, taking out merchandise and concealing it on themselves.
The employee said he tried to stop the couple after they passed the cashiers. He said Barton pulled a knife on the employee, threatening to cut him and Brown kicked an punched him.
Police found a baggie filled with meth and a dollar bill when they searched Barton during his arrest.
The amount if the items taken was $2,550.
