Social media meet up turns into armed robbery

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man was robbed by a person he met on social media, according to a police report.

Toriano Oldham, 24, was arrested on Monday and charged with robbery and giving false information.

The victim said he became acquainted with Oldham online and went to a home in the 3800 block of Muhammad Ali to meet him in person. He told police Oldham and another man pointed a gun at him and took his money.

Police later saw two men run into the same home when they saw officers in the area. Oldham was taken into custody and the victim identified him as the suspect.

Toriano Oldham is being held without bond because he had an outstanding warrant from another police agency. Details about that charge have not been released.
