LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The dean of Indiana University Southeast's School of Business was arrested this past week.
Police found 49-year-old Alan Jay White slumped over the wheel of a car Thursday night at 11th and Rowan streets in Louisville.
Officers say there was a dollar bill with a white powder on it in his front pocket. There was also a pill bottle in the car containing sleeping pills.
White is charged with possession of a controlled substance.
He was later served a warrant and charged with theft of an auto after, police say, he did not return a rental car in October of last year.

White, who has a Ph.D., is also listed as an associate professor of finance on the IUS website.
IUS released a statement on the matter Sunday afternoon.
"Early Thursday morning, Indiana University Southeast learned of a situation resulting in the arrest of a current employee in Louisville, Kentucky. University and campus officials are aware of the issue and will continue to monitor it closely as the judicial process ensues," the statement said. "Because this is a personnel matter, the university will have no further comments."
