LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A mother claims the bodies of two teenagers found behind a house on River Park Drive were her sons.

The teens were identified by their mother, Marie Wren, as the victims of the horrible crime. She said her son's names were Maurice and Larry.

Their grandfather said the two teens were 14 and 16 years old. He said one of them was an honor roll student and the other was starting to go down the wrong path.

Their grandfather said the family is trying to hold up as much as they can, but right now they have a lot of questions about what happened to the teens.

The teen's mother has gotten hundreds of posts on her Facebook page. Many of the posts are supportive; Several others are critical asking why the boys were not reported missing.

Louisville Metro Police and the Jefferson County Coroner have not released any information about their identities or how exactly they died. A LMPD spokesperson said there is a reason why and that they are working hard on catching who ever killed the two young men.

Neighbors described the scene as grisly. Ashes remain on the ground where the bodies were found.

Police said no charges have been filed, but they are close to making an arrest.
