LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The Olympics just got a lot closer to home.
Thirteen swimmers with Louisville ties will be competing in Omaha, NE, this month and next for the U.S. Olympics team trials.
This will be the swimmers' meet of their live. They're doing their best to keep the meet in perspective and not allow it to get the best of them.
"It's gonna be like really high key and a lot of people and really high stress, but I'm just gonna try and win my heat and make the most out of the experience," Kennedy Lohman said.
Clayton Forde is doing just the same.
"I just try to treat it like any other meet, not like let the pressure get out of hand or anything. Just try to focus on what I can control," Forde said.
The team trials will be held from June 26 to July 3.
