TAYLORSVILLE, KY - A Louisville man is missing in Taylorsville Lake.

At approximately 2:24 p.m. Sunday afternoon the Kentucky State Police Post 12 in Frankfort received a 911 call about a man who had gone missing in the water at Settlers Trace Marina at Taylorsville Lake, according to a press release. Responding to reports of a "drowning incident," emergency service workers were advised that the victim, 48-year-old Zoran Jefetic, had entered the lake while not wearing a life jacket.

"Some of the reports are the male individual was on the back trying to replace the plug. The motor was still running is what we've been told," Sgt. Scott Herndon with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife said during a press conference Sunday. "We don't know whether he was overcome by carbon monoxide, or slipped off and was hit by a prop(ellor)."

The "recovery effort" was called off at 10:01 p.m. Sunday night, according to a press release. Search efforts are slated to resume Monday morning.
