Man arrested after robberies at 2 Valley Station supermarkets

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - After making his rounds at two Valley Station stores this past weekend the Louisville Metro Police Department have a man in custody for crimes he allegedly committed during his shopping trips..

Cory Leroy Patrick, 23, was arrested Sunday after an armed robbery at the Meijer's and purse-snatching at the Kroger on Dixie Highway.

Saturday, Patrick entered the Meijer's saying that he was armed with a gun and demanded cash, which he received. Patrick was identified at Meijer's as one of the stores former cashiers.

Patrick then went to Kroger on Sunday where he stole a purse out a shopping cart and ran out of the building, however a witness was able to catch his license plate number as he fled.

Patrick is currently being held on a $25,000 cash bond.
