LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man was arrested after police saw him fire a gun at another man.
Nathaniel L. Davis, 40, of Louisville, is being held on charges of attempted murder, unlawful imprisonment, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, tampering with physical evidence, receiving stolen property (firearm) and fleeing and evading police.
A detective with the Louisville Metro police 9th Mobile Division was on patrol around 12:45 a.m. Monday when he saw Davis point the gun at a man forehead before firing the weapon near his right ear.
When the detective confronted Davis and ordered him to show his hands Davis fled, but was arrested a short time later in the 900 block of Winkler Ave. Detectives learned the weapon, a Taurus .40 caliber handgun, had been reported stolen.
Davis, who his arrest reports says was previously convicted on two other wanton endangerment cases, admitted to having a verbal confrontation with the victim.
Bond for Davis was set at $100,000 cash. He is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday morning.
