LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The man accused in the shooting of an Louisville Metro Police Department officer will soon be extradited back to Kentucky.
U.S. Marshals arrested Jacquan Crowley, 22, of Louisville, on June 16 in Port Orange, Florida at the home of a relative.
Crowley had been on the run since the night of June 11 shooting of Officer Kyle Carroll in Louisville's Russell neighborhood. Carroll was wearing his bullet resistant vest and survived being shot in the chest. He is recovering at home.
Florida officials say Crowley has waived extradition and that Kentucky officials have been notified he is ready to be picked up.
When Crowley will be returned to Louisville is unknown.
