Large barn fire closes road in Hardin County

HARDIN COUNTY, KY (WAVE) - A road in Hardin County between Elizabethtown and Glendale was closed early Friday morning while firefighters battled a barn fire.

The Hardin County Sheriff's Office said drivers should avoid the area of West Rhudes Creek Road and Gaither Station Road. West Rhudes Creek Road is closed.

Four volunteer fire departments are fighting the fire, which was reported shortly after 2 a.m.. The barn was fully engulfed.

There are no reports of any injured people or animals.
