LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Police believe they have solved three bank robberies in two cities with the arrest of one man.
Malcom Alexander Madry, 25, of Louisville, is charged with the robbery of banks in Louisville and St. Matthews.
Madry was arrested June 29 by St. Matthews police for the June 10 robbery of the American Founders Bank at 4220 Shelbyville Road. He was later charged by Louisville Metro police with the May 6 and June 3 robberies of the Chase Bank at 3820 Brownsboro Road.
Arrest reports from both departments say after being given his rights Madry admitted to the robberies.
In addition to the robberies, Madry is possession of and trafficking in marijuana, carrying a concealed deadly weapon and trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,00 feet of a school.
Madry is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections on $500,000 cash bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 11.
