Robbery suspect nabbed while trying to flee scene

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man charged with the robbery of a convenience store was arrested by police as he tried to leave the scene of the crime.
Genaro Vazquez-Martinez, 24, of Louisville, was reportedly armed with a knife when he entered the Circle K at 9110 Blue Luck Road around 5;15 a.m. July 6.

Louisville Metro police say Vazquez-Martinez demanded the clerk give him the store cash and a carton of cigarettes. He was arrested by officers as left the store. The knife, money and merchandise was recovered.
Vazquez-Martinez is charged with one count of robbery and is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections on a $10,000 cash bond.
