First Buy Local Fair held at Iroquois Amphitheater

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Saturday at the Iroquois Amphitheater the first-ever South Points Buy Local Fair was held.

The fair is designed to help local businesses in the South End of Louisville.

Organizers from the Louisville Independent Business Alliance say the area is often overlooked in the city.

"The independent businesses are important because they keep more money circulating in our economy and they also add to our sense of place they are unique you don't find them any place else besides Louisville," said Jennifer Rubenstein, of the Louisville Independent Business Alliance.

The event featured live music with food and drink vendors along with dozens of local booths.
