LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A suspect from a February robbery was finally arrested on Monday.

Terry LaRue, 23, and his son are suspected for robbing $3,250 worth of tobacco products from a Circle K.

According to an arrest slip, LaRue and his son entered the Circle K on Feb. 16 and started talking to the clerk at the counter. In order for LaRue to do the robbery, his son created a diversion by breaking a beer bottle in the back of the store, forcing the clerk to go and clean it up.

While the clerk was cleaning, LaRue went behind the counter and stole the tobacco products.

The two were caught by surveillance cameras and identified by LMPD.

LaRue was taken into custody and charged with theft by unlawful taking.
