Last of missing boaters' bodies recovered

HALL COUNTY, GA (WAVE) - Officials say the last of the two bodies of the missing Kentucky boaters have been recovered from Lake Lanier in Georgia.

A spokesman for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources confirmed that Arthur McMahan Jr. of Mount Washington and Anthony Reece of Columbia were pulled from the lake Saturday night into Sunday morning.

The spokesman said sonar equipment assisted in the search and recovery of the two men. The spokesman also said the men were found in about 90 feet of water.

The accident happened during a boating poker run on Friday.

Officials are continuing to investigate how the boat capsized in the water.
