LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - New changes have come to TARC routes across WAVE country.

Routes being changed include:

Route #1, the Fourth Street all-electric ZeroBus Service. Northbound, this route will be extended two blocks on Fifth St., traveling east on Market St., instead of Liberty St. to reconnect to Fourth St. Southbound, buses on Fourth St. will go east on Market, and south on Second St., instead of Third St., and then west on Muhammad Ali Blvd., reconnecting to Fourth St. This adjusted route will avoid anticipated impacts from the closure of Third and Fourth Streets between Market and Jefferson Streets for the Commonwealth Convention Center rebuilding project.

Route #31, Middletown and Route #31X, the Middletown Express. The #31 and #31X will operate on US-60/Shelbyville road, instead on side streets in the Middletown area. New stops on the route will be within three blocks of stops that will be eliminated. A late night round-trip is also being added. This trip will be on weekdays and on Saturday between downtown Louisville and Middletown Station. Daily service is also being added for Middletown Commons.

The below routes will be adjusted with scheduled changes in arrival times at stops and additional changes as noted. On all express routes, downtown bus arrival and departure times will be  maintained as close as possible to current schedules.

Most morning trips will leave the stop at the end of the route earlier than the current schedule, and arrival times at those locations will be later in the afternoon.

Rt. #71 - Jeffersonville, Louisville, New Albany – Starting October 2nd through December 24th, seasonal service adds weekday and weekend trips to River Ridge and the Amazon Fulfillment Center.
