Suspects in pharmacy robbery arrested

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Two people have been arrested in connection with armed robbery of a pharmacy.

Jeffrey Glenn Vierling, 35, and Jessica Lynn Thomas, 33, both of Louisville, were taken into custody during the early morning hours of July 27.

Detectives with the Louisville Metro Police Department robbery unit say the two are responsible for the June 29 holdup of Life Care Pharmacy, 1502 S. 7th Street. Vierling and Thomas handed a note to the pharmacist demanding pills and threatened her with a gun. The pair fled in a car after getting pills.

Sgt. Eric Black of the LMPD Major Crimes Division - Robbery Unit said after surveillance photos of the robbery suspects were released they received numerous tips which led them to arrest Vierling and Thomas. Arrest reports says Vierling and Thomas identified themselves in surveillance photos taken during the robbery.

Vierling and Thomas are being held at Louisville Metro Corrections. Each is charged with one count of robbery. They will be arraigned July 28 in the courtroom at the Main Jail Complex.
