LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Louisville Metro police are investigating after a child was hit by a vehicle in the driveway of a south Louisville home.
LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell said a young boy was riding his tricycle in the driveway of his home, located in 3800 block of Parthenia Avenue, when his mother pulled out and hit him with the vehicle around 9:35 p.m. Monday.
The mother told police she did not see her son.
The child was taken to Kosair Children's Hospital for treatment. His injuries are considered serious, according to Mitchell.
Police said no charges are expected to be filed against the mother.
