WATCH LIVE AT NOON: The West Louisville Forum

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Simmons College is presenting a community discussion on Wednesday, with a series of other special events to follow.

The West Louisville Forum: Solutions for Urban America will feature guest speaker Dr. Claud Anderson, a former member of President Jimmy Carter's cabinet. Anderson is the author of Black Labor, White Wealth, The Search for Power & Economic Justice.

"Every first Wednesday of the month throughout the remainder of the year, we want to bring speakers to the community to encourage dialogue and inspire change," Dr. Kevin Cosby, President of Simmons College of Kentucky said. "West Louisville as well the city of Louisville and the entire country need an impactful discussion that can make a significant difference."

The forum begins at noon at St. Stephen Church Family Life Center, 1018 South 15th Street. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Kevin Cosby.
