LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A sewer line collapse under a main thoroughfare in downtown Louisville expected to cause traffic delays for the rest of this week.
A spokesperson for the Metro Sewer Department said a lead line collapsed under Broadway between 1st and 2nd Streets. MDS first noticed a hole in the road Monday evening.
Crews are now working to repair the line, causing them to close the center lanes of Broadway.
The lanes are expected to be closed until at least Friday and maybe longer.
