Gunfire during attempted robbery at IU Southeast

NEW ALBANY, IN (WAVE) - The campus of Indiana University Southeast was placed on high alert after an attempted robbery ended with gunfire.
The incident happened early August 11 in a wooded area on the south side of campus.

The victim told police he was approached by a man who warned him not to run and to lay down. When the victim took off, the suspect fired two or three shots.
Police say the suspect took off in a small black two-door car.
No one was hurt and no arrests have been made.
Students report for the fall semester at IUS in one week.
