LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The woman who was killed in a head-on collision Monday morning has been identified.
Gladys Hernandez, 29, died from multiple blunt force injuries she suffered in the crash on Louisville Avenue at E. Woodlawn Avenue, according to Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Larry Carroll.
Preliminary reports indicated a minivan, driven by Hernandez, and a box truck crashed head-on into each other, Louisville Metro Police Department spokeswoman Alicia Smiley said.
Hernandez is believed to have been the only person inside the minivan.
A man driving the box truck was taken to University of Louisville Hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries. No one else was inside his vehicle.
The LMPD Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate the crash.
Funeral arrangements for Hernandez are pending.
