Company fined for East End Crossing crane collapse

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A construction company working on the East End Crossing has been cited for a crane collapse that happened in February.

On February 19, a crane used for the Ohio Bridges Project collapsed on the Kentucky side of the river.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration issued Walsh Construction Company two serious safety violations on Tuesday. The citations carry $21,379 in penalties.

Walsh Construction has 15 days to comply or contest the findings to an independent review board.
