LMPD chase ends in a crash after robbery spree

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A robbery spree and 20-minute chase through Louisville ended with a crash in the Smoketown neighborhood Sunday afternoon.
Four suspects were arrested following the pursuit, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department. The suspects' ages weren't released, but some appeared to be juveniles.
Police say the group was involved in a carjacking from the Highlands sometime Saturday night into early Sunday morning, making off in a blue Toyota.
Then, police say, Sunday afternoon the group was involved in a street robbery in the LMPD's 4th Division.
Not long after, police say, the group robbed someone else in their driveway in Parkway Village.

That's when LMPD 6th Division officers caught on. They chased the car for about 20 minutes before it crashed into a business at Logan and Caldwell streets, near Shelby, in Smoketown. The building wasn't severely damaged.
No one was hurt, although an officer's vehicle window was smashed.
A witness to the chase told WAVE 3 News that he saw some people try to run after they crashed the car.
Police did recover a handgun from the stolen vehicle.
