LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A motorcyclist was critically injured in a two-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon.
Shortly before 3 p.m. a motorcycle and vehicle collided at Crums Lane and Manslick Road.
According to the Louisville Metro Police Department, preliminary reports indicate that the motorcyclist was going southbound on Manslick when the driver of a vehicle going northbound attempted a left turn onto Crums, resulting in a collision.
The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet according to the LMPD, was transported to University Hospital in critical condition. He is currently undergoing surgery.
The driver of the other vehicle complained of pain and was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Drugs and/or alcohol are not suspected, according to the LMPD, but the investigation is continuing into whether the vehicle operator is a licensed, insured driver.
