UPS employee charged in theft of cell phones

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville man was arrested for the theft of thousands of dollars in cell phones.

Dezmon E. Woods, 18, is facing one count of theft by unlawful taking, $10,000 of more.

The thefts occurred while Woods was an employee at UPS Worldport, 911 Grade Lane.

According to Louisville Metro police, Woods admitted to taking 16 to 17 phones since June of this year. The total value of the phones was $13,564.
