JAMESTOWN, KY (WAVE) - A 64-year-old Louisville man died Saturday night after falling into Lake Cumberland and striking an operating boat propeller.
The man's name is not being released at this time because his next of kin is still being notified. His identity will be released Monday by the Russell County Coroner.
According to a press release from the Russell County Coroner's Office, the man was pronounced dead at 10:27 p.m. CST Saturday night at the Lake Cumberland State Dock in Jamestown. An autopsy is scheduled to be completed at the Kentucky State Medical Examiner's Office in Frankfort.
The Russell County Coroner's Office and Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources are conducting an investigation into the man's death.
