Convicted felon cleaning gun accidentally shoots someone in elbow

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A convicted felon said he was polishing his gun when it accidentally fired and hit someone in the elbow.

Corey Brown, 24, was arrested Sunday at his home on Euclid Avenue.

Felons are prohibited from having guns in Kentucky.

Brown is charged with possession of a firearm by convicted felon.

The name and condition of the person who was shot were not immediately available.
