LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - An LMPD officer is charged with domestic violence in an incident that happened over Labor Day weekend.

Dezmon Moore, 27, was arrested on Monday and charged with 4th degree assault.

Moore's arrest report states he assaulted a woman late Sunday night during an argument.

When the woman tried to leave, he took her purse and keys and told her she couldn't take the car, according to the report. He then grabbed her arm, causing a bruise and swelling, and threw a bottle against the wall, the report states.

Officer Moore is currently on administrative reassignment with LMPD. Details about his reassignment were not immediately available.
