LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Pastors from all over Louisville are working together to find ways to stop the increasing violence in the city.
On Tuesday, 100 pastors and community leaders met for an emergency meeting at King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church. Representatives from Community Connections and Jesus and a Job also joined the meeting.
The group discussed possible solutions, which included helping people in the most violent neighborhoods find jobs and become home owners.
The plan is for each pastor to reach members of the community through their churches.
"We've had meeting after meeting trying to find solutions to the problem, and nobody's been able to come up with the solution," Community Connections President James Linton said. "The reason you guys are here is because you are leaders from across the city."
