Wife calls police after husband shoots man

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Louisville Metro police have charged a man in connection with a shooting in the Pleasure Ridge Park area.

Donald Keith Riddle II, 41, of Louisville, was arrested just after 2 a.m. September 20 on one count of assault.

Officers were called to the 7600 block of Mango Drive around 11:35 p.m. September 19 on a reported shooting. The victim was found in the 5200 block of Greenwood Road with a gunshot wound to the chest and was taken to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment.

Riddle, according to his arrest report, was taken into custody at his home where police also recovered the gun.

The arrest report also states that it was Riddle's wife who made the 911 call and stated that her husband had shot the victim.

Riddle is being held on $50,000 cash bond at Louisville Metro Corrections. He is scheduled to be arraigned September 21.

Metro police have not said what led to the shooting.
