LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Louisville police have released more information about the officer who is charged with threatening and harassing a man following a car crash in June.

The personnel file for Officer Zechariah Aubrey contains eight commendations and no reprimands. Among other things, Aubrey was praised for his assistance after a first division officer was shot earlier this year.

On June 13, Aubrey and another man were involved in a crash, and Aubrey, who was off-duty and driving his personal car, got out to confront the man.

A criminal summons for Aubrey issued in September says witnesses reported that Aubrey repeatedly kicked the man and threatened to knock him out.

The man was charged with DUI. Months later, Aubrey was summoned to answer charges of terroristic threatening, harassment and official misconduct.

Police say the man captured at least part of the confrontation on video using his cell phone. The man's girlfriend called police after seeing the video.
