LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A man who died after being shot in an alley Wednesday morning has been identified.

Donald Hester, 50, was found shot in the 3300 block of Greenwood Avenue around 10:14 a.m., according to Jefferson County Chief Deputy Coroner Jo-Ann Farmer.

Hester was taken to University of Louisville Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11:06 a.m.

Shortly after Hester's death, Louisville Metro police arrested a 16-year-old and charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence in the case.

Hester's murder was Louisville's 94th homicide of 2016.
