LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Police have identified a driver wanted for a deadly hit-and-run.

Miguel Angel Villasenor, 40, is accused of hitting two women with a pickup truck early Saturday morning on Outer Loop at Grade Lane. One of the women died at the scene. The other was taken to University of Louisville Hospital with serious injuries. Police said Villasenor fled the scene on foot after the crash, leaving the truck behind.

The victims were involved in a separate crash moments before the hit-and-run. Police said the Dodge Caliber they were in was traveling westbound on Outer Loop when the vehicle collided with a Volkswagen Jetta that was turning onto Outer Looper from Grade Lane. Following the collision, the Caliber came to rest in the eastbound lane of Outer Loop.

According to the LMPD Traffic Unit, the women in the Caliber exited their vehicle and were standing next to it when a Chevy truck driven by Villasenor hit them and their car. The passenger of the Caliber was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was seriously hurt.

Villansenor speaks very little English, police said. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should the Louisville Metro Police Department's anonymous tip line at 502-574-LMPD (5673).
