LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A lot of people love to go all-out to spook you on Halloween. Some places in the Louisville area are better for trick-or-treating than others.

One of best locations for Halloween decorations is Hillcrest Avenue off of Frankfort Avenue. Residents there are serious about their decorations. Be warned, though, trick-or-treating on this street is usually very busy. You may have to park a block or two over. Even if you don't want to go trick-or-treating down the street, you should at least try to drive down it to check it out.

Something else to check out are some of the yard haunts. A yard haunt is a free haunted attraction set-up specifically for trick-or-treaters and Halloween visitors.

Some of the better known ones include one in New Albany called "Twisted Silver" located at 1015 Silver Street and another called "The Pirates of PRP" off Seaforth Drive in Louisville.
