LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - An auction for a historic mansion in Louisville received no bids. Now, transportation officials are going back to the drawing board.
The state purchased the 10,000 square foot Drumanard Estate for more than $8 million as part of the Ohio River Bridges Project. Crews had to tunnel under the historic home, to build the East End Bridge.

The home went up for auction with a starting bid of $3.5 million.
The state said they are re-evaluating the property and what to do next.
Meanwhile, taxpayers are footing the bill for maintenance.
