Police: Man endangered lives during argument over stolen bicycle

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) -  A man has been charged with eight counts of wanton endangerment after an argument over a bicycle ended with shots being fired.

Jeffrey Robert Wilhelm, Jr., 20, of Louisville, was arrested by Louisville Metro police on November 8.

On October 6, an arrest warrant says Wilhelm and another man were having an argument in the 3700 block of W. Broadway over a stolen bicycle. As Wilhelm was leaving, he turned and fired two shots at the other man.

Metro police said the argument and the shots happened outside the Smiling Faces Daycare where a worker was caring for six children.

In addition to the wanton endangerment charges, Wilhelm is also charged with robbery, fleeing and evading police and receiving stolen property in connection with other cases.
